Prizm Supporting Bangers to Budapest

On 21st September a team from Prizm friends Deaconsfield Financial Planning are linking up with Gnosall and District Community First Responders to take part in a car rally from Calais toudapest in just 5 days. The aim of this event is to continue raising much needed funds to purchase a new response vehicle, complete with the latest lie saving equipment.

Community first responders or CFRs are groups of trained volunteers, dedicated to a specific area, who, under the control of the Ambulance Service, are notified of medical emergeancies in their area and agree to respond and provide emergeancy life support until the arrival of the Ambulance Service.

All equipment, including vehicle and uniforms has to be purchased by the group through fund raising in the community. The group bought their first vehicle from the Ambulance Service, in 2006, for a nominal amount and paid for substantialrepairs through fund raising events to ensure it was roadworthy. This vehicle is now out of operation and the group are currently using a temporary vehicle until enough funds have been raised to purchase their own. Their target is in excess of £10,000
